What are migraine glasses?
Migraine glasses are eyeglasses with a tint made for people who find bright light uncomfortable. That discomfort has a name, photophobia, and it is one of the most common complaints during a migraine. The best-known tint is FL-41, a rose colour that has been studied since the early 1990s, which is why they are also called pink glasses for migraines.
They are not a treatment for migraine. Think of them as light management: the same idea as dimming a harsh room, built into your lenses. For the science in depth, read what FL-41 is and what the research says.
Our Migraine Relief Pink lens
Migraine Relief Pink is an FL-41-style rose tint that filters part of the blue-green band of light. It is light enough to wear indoors — under office tube lights, in LED-lit shops and through long screen days — and it is cut to your prescription in any frame from our eyeglasses collection.
The lens is Rs 2,500, down from Rs 3,500, on top of the frame, and frames are Rs 1,899–3,299. We describe it as FL-41-style, not FL-41 certified: our tint follows the rose FL-41 style, but it has not been independently tested against the published studies.
Migraine glasses vs blue light glasses vs sunglasses
Blue light glasses filter a narrow band of short-wavelength light and are sold for screen comfort. A 2023 Cochrane review found they may make little or no difference to eye strain in the short term. FL-41-style tints filter a different, wider band and were studied specifically for light sensitivity.
Sunglasses cut all light heavily. They are right for the outdoors, but specialists generally advise against wearing dark lenses indoors, because the eyes can adapt to the dimmer light. A lighter rose tint is the indoor option.
Who they suit — and when to see a doctor
They suit people who find fluorescent office lighting, LED screens or bright interiors uncomfortable, whether or not they have a migraine diagnosis. Results vary from person to person.
If your headaches are new, sudden and severe, getting worse, or come with changes in your vision, see a doctor first. Tinted lenses are a comfort aid alongside medical care, never a replacement for it.

They do not cure or prevent migraine, and results vary.
